The short version

THE CONDITION

Demand on the design team was invisible — asks arrived faster than capacity, and the overload read as a team problem.

THE MECHANISM

A portfolio-level view connecting capacity, staffing, and unsupported demand to organizational decisions. Design PI Planning is the developing practice.

WHAT CHANGED

The quarter leadership first saw demand in one view, they rebalanced the portfolio instead of the people — this is how we knew the problem was structural.
